A celebration of our unlikely existence and how history can bring us all together, in the form of an interdisciplinary piece combining poetry, music and more. Former UK poetry slam champion Adam Kammerling is joined by a hyper-dynamic cohort of incredible artists to examine intergenerational trauma and the rituals we make for connection. One such annual custom is the Seder, which marks the beginning of Passover. Seder is also the name of Adam’s debut poetry collection, a 2020 National Jewish Book Award finalist, a deft account of his reckoning with heritage and family history. Developed from what Ilya Kaminsky calls “a beautiful, lyrical collection”, this show is a unique exploration of togetherness, both ancient and fiercely contemporary, lifting the lid off a religious practice to discover how it might encompass global stories of human survival.
