Yehuda Bauer, who passed away in October aged 98, was considered by many to be the world’s leading Holocaust scholar. A longtime advisor to Yad Vashem and one of the key authors of the 2000 Stockholm Declaration, he wrote over 40 books and was awarded the Israel Prize. Ruth-Anne Lenga, Associate Professor at UCL’s Centre for Holocaust Education and Bauer’s niece by marriage, joins historian Trudy Gold to reflect on his life and career.
