Peace activist Vivian Silver was one of many murdered in the Gaza Envelope on 7 October. Amid profound grief, her partners in peace have continued her work with Women Write Hope: Life Stories of Jewish and Arab Women Waging Peace Amidst War. We welcome two key figures behind this remarkable initiative: social changemaker Ghadir Hani, who facilitates dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians, and Dror Rubin, who focuses on Israel’s mixed cities and builds trust between Jews and Arabs. They will discuss the accompanying book, which documents the lives of 21 women.

About the speakers

Ghadir Hani

Ghadir Hani is a social changemaker and peace activist. For many years, she lived in the Negev and was involved in promoting peace and the rights of Bedouin women. Ghadir is an active member of various organizations in the field and facilitates dialogues between Israelis and Palestinians.
Dror Rubin

Dror Rubin is a social changemaker and peace activist. For many years, he has worked to promote trust between Jews and Arabs, with an emphasis on working in Israel’s mixed cities. He mediates and facilitates dialogue groups for various organizations and associations.
Joanne Greenaway

Joanne Greenaway is the Chief Executive of LSJS. She is an experienced International Arbitration lawyer and formerly Director of Get cases for the London Beth Din. A graduate of Cambridge University, she is part of Ohr Torah Stone’s International Halakha Scholars Program and a Sacks Scholar.
