Linda Dangoor is a designer, painter and ceramicist and now a food writer. She was born in Baghdad and came to the UK in the early 1960s. A graduate of the Central School of Art and Design, she has worked in the design field for many years, specialising in stationery, greeting cards and other products for the gift market in Paris and later in London. Linda is the author of two cookbooks. The first one, Flavours of Babylon, is an exploration and a celebration of the dishes and flavours of her Baghdadi heritage. Her second book, From the Tigris to the Thames, published in 2025, is a tapestry, part memoir, part cookbook where she interweaves recipes with personal reflections on the idea of home and belonging.
