Ron Arad was born in Tel-Aviv. After completing his training at the Architectural Association, he established his own design practice – One Off – with Caroline Thorman in 1981. From 1997-2009 he was the first professor of industrial and furniture design at the RCA. He has designed a number of Public Art pieces, including the Kesher Sculpture at Tel Aviv University.
