Dr. Christoph Dieckmann taught Modern European History at Keele University, worked at the Fritz-Bauer-Institut in Frankfurt and at the University of Bern. He taught some semesters in Haifa and is at present  a member of the research-group “Holocaust” in the Ukrainian History Global Initiative. From October to December 2025 he was a fellow at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem.

His study Deutsche Besatzungspolitik in Litauen 1941-1944 was awarded the Yad Vashem Book Prize in 2012.
