Daniel Schwammenthal is the editor of The Jewish Chronicle. Before joining the JC in February 2025, he headed the American Jewish Committee’s EU office in Brussels. He previously served as an editorial writer and op-ed editor at The Wall Street Journal Europe in Brussels and Amsterdam, and earlier worked as a correspondent for Dow Jones Newswires in Bonn, Berlin, and Brussels. Originally from Germany, he studied Political Science and Political Economy at the University of Aachen and holds an MA in International Relations and International Communications from Boston University and an LLM in European Law and Policy from the University of Manchester.
