Kavita Puri is a multi-award winning journalist, executive producer, broadcaster and author. For over 20 years she worked in senior editorial positions on its flagship current affairs programmes, covering politics, investigations and foreign affairs. She has devised, presented and written landmark series on BBC Radio 4 including “three million” which won best new podcast at the British podcast awards, and “partition voices” which won the royal historical society’s prize for public history.  She is the author of the critically-acclaimed Partition Voices: Untold British Stories which was adapted at the Donmar warehouse. She was last year’s chair of judges for the women’s prize for non-fiction. Her new book Three Million will be published in June 2027.
