Nigel Savage, originally from Manchester, had a first career in the City and was a lay leader in the British Jewish community. In 2000 he founded Hazon (today known as Adamah), which under his leadership became the largest environmental organization in the American Jewish community. In recognition of his work he was awarded an honorary doctorate by JTS. He is today based in Jerusalem, where he is a founder and CEO of Jewish Climate Trust.
