Robert Thompson was awarded his PhD in History from the Department of Hebrew and Jewish Studies at University College London, following earlier studies at the Universities of Oxford and Southampton. After his PhD he held the Pearl Resnick Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He is Deputy Director for Public Programmes in the Westminster Abbey Institute and was previously Senior Programme Manager for the Council of Christians and Jews where he worked closely with Yad Vashem.
