Originally from Baghdad, she arrived in Israel with her family as a refugee at the age of five. They later moved to Hamburg, Germany, where she spent her formative years in a multicultural environment. She pursued her passion for literature and philosophy at Sussex University, earning a BA in English Literature and Philosophy and a Master’s in Modern German Studies. Her debut book, a poignant tribute to her mother, emerged from her compassion for this deeply human experience of exile and belonging and from her profound conviction that this story needed to be told.
